“Applied Geography” deals with land use management, or more specifically, the problems of practical living and effective land usage. Its application requires familiarity with many fields of sciences. It is therefore a broadly based integration science, in which experience in all the disciplines that contribute to land use management is united. Upon completion of a Diploma-degree in “Applied Geography”, the student should be able to recognize associations in spatial order and organization of environment. The student should also be able to assess planning and political problems and work towards practical solutions. Students of “Applied Geography” can focus on Local Development, Spatial Planning and Development, or Tourism during their study.
